Building on previous posts, I am introducing a Travel 101 page. I view travel as one of the most powerful learning opportunities available. It is enlightening to understand how other people make a life in a variety of environments. Exposure to these different situations can provide context in our personal circumstances. Witnessing the world’s beauty through art, nature, architecture, or culture can provide an escape from the stressors of life. Beyond the cultural, naturalistic, and educational opportunities, the benefits of rest and relaxation alone can have a significant impact on one’s health and well being.

Ultimately, travelers have their own reasons to travel. The goal is to get there. Through the travel series, we will aim to to provide a mix of resources to maximize these aforementioned travel benefits. This can be done by providing budget travel options, exposure to unique opportunities, or other travel tips. We can accumulate information using personal experience, guest contributors, and outside resources.
